Hi, everyone! I know I don't post to Newgrounds too often (I'm much more active on Twitter and Instagram) but I wanted to reach out and write up a blog post about a new animation project I've been stringing together lately!
I've officially begun preparations for a re-animated collab, specifically, of The Pogo Special Birthday Special!
The cartoon in question was a little-known animated adaption of Walt Kelly's Pogo comic strip, written by Kelly himself and directed by Chuck Jones!
Both the comic & the animated special are incredibly obscure these days, but both showcase beautiful character designs, brilliant wit, and luscious backgrounds. Pogo's characters and setting are incredibly sophisticated, and offer an intrinsic experience that hasn't been replicated since in the world of Western cartoon media.
Part of my mission regarding this re-animated collab is to draw more eyes & ears to Pogo!

Newgrounds is a place where animated creativity flourishes; I would be over the moon if my little project could receive the involvement of this website's many many talented individuals. Creators like @Jaquin, @DeadlyComics, and @Piggybank12 are already working on parts, and I couldn't be happier to have some of NG's finest on my side! :D
